BNB was trading at $590 on Tuesday morning, holding tight above a key trendline it had just broken through. The move matters because there's a wall of short positions stacked above $605, and if buyers can push through, those traders face serious liquidation losses.
The token recovered about 4% over the past week, bouncing back from a low near $566. On the 4-hour chart, sellers had been using a descending trendline as a cap since early July, but BNB finally broke above it. Buyers then tested that same line as support around $576 before rallying back to $590. That's textbook reversal behavior, converting old resistance into new support.
The structure still looks bullish. BNB is sitting above the 4-hour Supertrend at $576.57, and daily RSI has climbed to 57.45 while MACD remains in bullish territory. The immediate obstacle is the $592 to $600 zone, which acts as a choke point before traders could even reach those underwater short positions higher up. If BNB closes below the daily level at $581.62, though, this whole setup unravels. That mark represents the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement of the earlier decline from $745 to $537.
One red flag: the Chaikin Money Flow reading on the 4-hour chart sits at minus 0.06. Capital inflows haven't fully backed this recovery yet, which means buying volume could dry up and leave the move exposed. That's worth watching as the price approaches resistance.
What's fueling the recovery is actual network usage. BNB Chain recorded about $19 billion in weekly decentralized exchange volume recently, outpacing both Ethereum and Solana during that period. Network utilization jumped from roughly 17% to nearly 30%, and since BNB is used to pay transaction fees and deploy contracts, higher activity translates into demand for the token. The chain's latest quarterly burn also removed 1.62 million BNB worth roughly $932 million at the time, providing a longer-term supply tailwind.
