Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US saw a surge of $233.1 million in net inflows on Thursday, marking the best single-day performance in more than three weeks, even as Bitcoin's price declined. This shows sustained investor appetite for Bitcoin exposure through ETFs despite short-term price setbacks.
BlackRock Dominates ETF Inflows With Nearly 79% Share
BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the inflows, pulling in $183.4 million, which represents almost 78.7% of the total funds entering Bitcoin ETFs on that day. Bitwise’s BITB followed with $20.7 million, while Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $15.5 million of net inflows. Smaller contributions from other Bitcoin ETFs rounded out the $233.1 million total. These moves helped push weekly Bitcoin ETF flows into positive territory, totaling $203.84 million so far. Should no major outflows occur soon, this would mark the fourth consecutive week of positive inflows for these products. Over the month to date, Bitcoin ETFs have attracted $437.8 million, underscoring ongoing institutional interest.
Price Drop Fails to Shake Confidence in Crypto Funds
Bitcoin’s price started Thursday above $64,500, briefly climbing past $65,000 before retreating sharply. As of writing, it trades around $63,700, down roughly 1.3% in 24 hours. This decline has not deterred investors from accumulation through ETFs. Alongside Bitcoin, US-listed Ethereum ETFs also recorded strong inflows, adding $13.3 million on the day. July’s inflow pattern for Ethereum funds is notably healthier than June’s, with fewer outflow sessions and stronger fund retention overall. These fund flows suggest that despite Bitcoin dipping below critical resistance levels, institutional demand for crypto exposure through regulated products remains firm.
