XRP is trading around $1.07, down a fraction of a percent over the last day. The move comes as Ripple secured a major regulatory win in Europe that could reshape how institutions access blockchain payments across the continent. Yet the token hasn't caught a real bid.
Ripple Gets Full MiCA Approval Across 30 European Countries
Luxembourg's financial regulator, the CSSF, granted Ripple full authorization as a Markets in Crypto-Assets Crypto Asset Service Provider. That means institutions in all 30 countries across the European Economic Area can now tap Ripple Payments through a single regulated relationship. Combined with its earlier Electronic Money Institution license, the approval gives Ripple a unified compliance framework to operate across the region.
For banks and payment providers, this matters because it removes friction. Instead of navigating separate rules in each country, they get one rulebook. As Europe rolls out its broader MiCA framework, that clarity could push more traditional finance into blockchain-based settlement. Ripple framed it plainly: "Regulatory clarity is the foundation of institutional trust." The company can now expand its payments infrastructure with real legal backing.
Chart Signals Say Hold Your Horses
The regulatory news hasn't moved the needle much on the technical side. XRP is still trading below both its 50-day moving average near $1.10 and the 200-day average around $1.34. Sellers have the upper hand in the broader trend. The RSI sits at 44, which shows weak momentum without tipping into oversold territory yet. A break above $1.10 would be the first real sign that buyers are taking control. Until then, support around $1.05 is the line to watch.
