Trump Media & Technology Group has moved another 2,628 Bitcoin to Crypto.com, pushing its total sales past 7,200 BTC and tallying roughly $545 million. This latest transfer signals the company is steadily shrinking its Bitcoin stash, which originally stood at 11,542 BTC.

Ongoing Bitcoin Sales and Treasury Updates

The company bought its Bitcoin at an average price of about $118,522 per coin. However, it has been selling off chunks at much lower rates, with the average sale price hovering around $74,855 per BTC. Over the past seven months, Trump Media has transferred Bitcoin to Crypto.com in several batches, including a recent move of 2,429 BTC plus nearly 199 BTC. These transactions reduced the company’s holdings to roughly 4,261 BTC, now valued at nearly $270 million.

Data from Arkham shows the company also moved 2,650 BTC worth $205 million in May alone. These sales appear to be part of a broader strategy to manage the crypto treasury rather than one-off transactions, though Trump Media hasn’t publicly commented on its motives.

Regulatory Spotlight on Trump’s Crypto Moves

The timing of these Bitcoin sales comes amid increased scrutiny of crypto activities by U.S. regulators and lawmakers. The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act is under discussion, aiming to tighten oversight of crypto market structures and introduce stronger ethics rules for public officials involved with digital assets.

Besides Bitcoin sales, various Trump-associated crypto projects have drawn criticism. These include the Official Trump (TRUMP) and Melania (MELANIA) memecoins, as well as tokens from World Liberty Financial like WLFI and the USD1 stablecoin, fueling ongoing debates about crypto regulation and transparency around political figures.
