T-REX Network rolled out its T-REX Ledger testnet, marking a major step toward a regulatory-compliant platform for tokenized securities. Built using Polygon's Chain Development Kit (CDK) and connected through Agglayer, the initiative aims to enable digital securities to move smoothly across blockchains while adhering to strict compliance standards.
Backing the project, Apex Group managing around $3.5 trillion in assets pledged to onboard $100 billion worth of tokenized real-world assets by mid-2027. Apex is set to act as the first on-chain transfer agent, maintaining ownership records and compliance controls throughout the lifecycle of these assets.
Unlike earlier tokenized securities that struggled with enforcing regulatory requirements on ownership transfers, T-REX Ledger embeds compliance mechanisms that cover investor accreditation, jurisdictional restrictions, and transfer limitations. This approach tackles a major hurdle in the industry where fragmented compliance across different blockchain networks has limited interoperability and practical use.
Polygon was chosen as the infrastructure partner for its extensive experience and technology, which T-REX Network views as essential to realizing their vision. The mainnet launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, setting the stage for a compliant, cross-chain tokenized asset ecosystem.
