The U.S. Senate’s agenda for the week has left the CLARITY Act off the table, pushing a critical crypto regulation bill further down the road just days before the August recess. Despite growing support from digital asset advocates, the legislation is not getting the immediate attention many hoped for.
Former CFTC Chairman Chris Giancarlo warned the crypto sector against viewing the CLARITY Act as a do-or-die moment. He emphasized that while the bill aims to bring regulatory clarity to the digital asset market, the industry should prepare for incremental progress rather than expect a sweeping overhaul in one go. Giancarlo's cautious outlook reflects the complex political environment, where other pressing matters, like Russia sanctions, have taken priority.
