The right-wing problem

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has been hammering the point that the club needs a right-wing replacement specifically, someone to fill Mohamed Salah's exact role. Barcola is predominantly left-sided. That mismatch matters for Liverpool's tactical setup, though at 23 he offers long-term upside that an aging replacement wouldn't. The Reds are trying to rebuild their attack after Salah's departure left a visible hole on the right.
