Bitcoin spot ETFs pulled in $381 million this week, ending two months of steady withdrawals. The price climbed toward $64,000 as institutional buyers returned, lifting total inflows since January 2024 above $52 billion.

The turnaround marks July as the strongest month since April. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) alone captured $292 million of the new money, cementing its lead over competitors. Bitcoin itself gained 8% for the month, outpacing major stock indices that fell during the same stretch.

The eight-week drought that preceded this reversal shows how quickly sentiment shifts in crypto markets. Macro conditions matter here, too. Any shift in Fed policy, dollar strength, or real interest rates could flip the current momentum just as fast. That said, the sheer scale of IBIT's dominance tells you where institutional capital is flowing, and right now it's flowing in.
