On July 23, XRPL Commons introduced a fresh grants program aimed at accelerating growth for developers and projects on the XRP Ledger.
This nonprofit supports the ecosystem through education, startup aid, and community building. Their new funding initiative targets open-source developers, startups, and established blockchain ventures.
RippleX, the Ripple division focused on XRP Ledger developer support, promoted the program on social media, calling it a vital resource for builders at various stages.
The grants include three tracks. The first, Glow, funds open-source projects that offer tools and infrastructure available for public use. Since October 2025, Glow has backed 11 projects, including node management tools, transaction dashboards, and post-quantum security features.
The second track is tailored for startups and features three programs. Aquarium is a nine-week incubator that offers mentorship and technical help. Make Waves is a 90-day competition encouraging developers to launch live XRP Ledger apps; a 25,000 XRP prize awaits the winner by September 21. Early Stage Grants provide milestone-based funding once teams meet agreed targets, requiring a working product on testnet or mainnet.
This launch is part of Ripple's broader push to enhance the network's developer pipeline. Ripple has invested over $550 million in the XRP Ledger ecosystem since 2017 through different funding efforts, aiming to spread support beyond a single entity.
