XRP is trading at $1.07 and teetering on the edge of a critical breakdown. After weeks of failed recovery attempts, the token keeps stumbling just as it approaches meaningful resistance, and the technical picture has turned decidedly grim over the past fortnight.
Volume has been evaporating. Buyers and sellers alike are sitting on their hands, waiting for something, anything, to tip the scales. That lack of conviction shows up everywhere on the chart. The asset is now hugging support in a narrower and narrower range, a setup that historically precedes either a sharp move up or a decisive plunge down.
Moving Averages Remain Stacked Against Bulls
XRP trades below every major exponential moving average that matters. The 26-day, 50-day, and 100-day EMAs all sit above current price. The 200-day EMA is a distant target at $1.39, a brutal reminder of how far the asset has fallen since the start of summer. Every bounce since early June has fizzled below those declining lines, and that pattern has handed control of the tape to sellers.
The momentum picture offers no relief. The Relative Strength Index sits around 45, neither overbought nor oversold, which means there's plenty of room for another leg lower before any technical bounce becomes plausible.
That $1 level is no longer just a number. It's become the psychological floor that the entire market watches. If XRP breaks through and closes below it convincingly, the next stop will be substantially lower. For now, holders are gambling that support holds over the coming week, but the technical setup suggests those odds are shortening by the day.
