The XRP Ledger has seen a notable surge in tokenized real-world assets, adding roughly $2.6 billion in value within the past six months, based on data from RWA.xyz. This figure excludes stablecoins and places XRP Ledger second among blockchains in net inflows of real-world assets (RWA) during this time frame.
BNB Chain led the pack with about $3 billion in RWA inflows, followed closely by XRP Ledger’s $2.6 billion, and Stellar at roughly $2.1 billion. The combined total of both distributed and represented real-world assets on XRP Ledger reached approximately $4.38 billion as of July 26, with represented assets accounting for $4.06 billion and distributed assets around $323 million. Including nearly $1 billion in stablecoins, XRP Ledger’s broader tokenized asset value exceeds $5.37 billion.
Dominance of Tokenized Energy on XRP Ledger
The largest chunk of XRP Ledger’s real-world asset value comes from Justoken’s JMWH product, which represents tokenized energy contracts valued at $2.23 billion. Each JMWH token corresponds to one megawatt-hour of contracted electricity output. Unlike more liquid tokens, JMWH operates mainly as a blockchain record of energy agreements with limited trading activity; only 19 token holders exist, and there is minimal transfer volume.
Justoken reported it had tokenized over $2.84 billion across its products. Earlier this year, it teamed up with Argentina’s power producer YPF Luz to tokenize an energy project on XRP Ledger, linking blockchain records with electricity generation and consumption contracts.
While XRP Ledger’s distributed RWA segment remains smaller compared to its represented assets, the overall growth continues a trend visible since early 2026. The ledger moved to sixth place in tokenized RWA rankings by February after adding $354 million in a single month. The expansion follows the launch of new compliance tools and proposed lending features to support permissioned trading on XRP Ledger.
Compared to other smart-contract platforms, Solana added around $1.6 billion and Avalanche nearly $972 million in tokenized RWAs over the same six-month period. Ethereum remains the largest holder of distributed tokenized assets overall but posted a comparatively modest net increase of $424 million during this timeframe.
