Two golden crosses appeared on XRP's short-term charts within the same week, one on the 2-hour timeframe and another on the 4-hour, both triggered when the MA 50 crossed above the MA 200. That kind of back-to-back signal on multiple timeframes is uncommon, and traders have been watching closely since.
XRP hit $1.16 on Tuesday, July 22, its highest point in two weeks, capping five consecutive days of gains that started on July 17. More it was the first time since mid-May that the price cleared the daily MA 50, a level that had been acting as a ceiling for months. Crypto analyst Ali flagged $1.13 as the make-or-break zone: once XRP pushed decisively through it, the next obvious target shifted to $1.30.
The price move didn't happen in a vacuum. On-chain data from Santiment shows whales and sharks holding between 100,000 and 100 million XRP added 2.8% more coins to their positions over the past five weeks. Meanwhile, micro wallets holding less than 0.01 XRP shed 5.2% over the same stretch. Historically, XRP has tracked the big holders and moved against the smallest retail crowd, so this divergence lines up with the bullish read on the current bounce.
Broader context adds weight to the setup. XRP ETF products have expanded institutional access, and XRPL activity around payments, tokenization, and RLUSD has kept the token relevant beyond pure speculation. With stronger hands accumulating and chart signals finally aligning, the $1.30 target is back in the conversation.
