Most staking programs reward the biggest wallets. WEEX flipped that logic: its new USDGO flexible staking gives the highest rate, 20% APR, to holders with fewer than 200 USDGO, while balances above that threshold earn 12%. Small stakers get the better deal, at least for now.

The product went live on the WEEX staking platform alongside flexible terms, meaning users can subscribe or pull out their funds at any point without waiting for a lock-up to expire. That combination of a top-tier rate and zero lock-in is unusual. Most platforms that advertise double-digit APRs on stablecoins attach a fixed term of 30 to 90 days to the deal.

Where USDGO Fits in the Broader Staking Suite

WEEX has been building out its yield products across a range of assets: BTC, ETH, SOL, WXT (the platform's native token), and USDC all carry staking options, with featured assets rotated each cycle through a mix of community voting and editorial curation. WXT holders get boosted rates as a perk of holding the platform token, while fixed-term products exist for users who are willing to lock capital in exchange for a higher APR than the flexible tier offers.

The exchange, founded in 2018 and now serving over 6.2 million users across more than 150 countries, positions staking as a core product rather than a side feature. It sits alongside over 1,200 spot pairs and futures trading with use up to 400x, plus a 1,000 BTC protection fund that the platform cites as a transparency measure.

Who the Product Is Actually Aimed At

WEEX describes five types of users the staking suite is built around:

  • Long-term BTC, ETH, or SOL holders who want yield on assets they have no immediate plan to sell
  • WXT holders seeking enhanced rates tied to platform token ownership
  • Stablecoin users who want predictable, steady returns through USDC
  • Yield-focused traders prepared to lock assets for a fixed term in exchange for a higher rate
  • Project teams aiming to incentivize long-term token holding within their communities

The USDGO tier structure fits neatly into that first and third category. A retail user parking 150 USDGO earns 20% annually with full liquidity. At current rates across competing platforms, that figure is hard to match for a flexible product on a regulated exchange. Whether WEEX can sustain it as the asset scales in popularity is the question worth watching.

Payouts are described as transparent and automatic, with no manual claims required. The full product range is accessible at weex.com/staking.
