MetaDAO’s entry into Upbit’s offerings caught traders’ attention immediately. The South Korean exchange confirmed that META2, the token from the Solana-based project, will start trading on July 29 with pairs in KRW, BTC, and USDT. Deposits and withdrawals were to be enabled within two hours of the announcement, signaling a swift rollout.
Upbit stressed the importance of using the Solana network exclusively for transferring META2 tokens. Transactions via other blockchains won’t be supported and could cause delays in refunds. To prevent confusion with the already listed Metadium token (META), this new listing will use the symbol META2.
MetaDAO distinguishes itself from typical DAOs by combining community governance with market price mechanisms to evaluate proposals. It integrates fundraising, token launches, and governance into a single on-chain ecosystem. The META2 token serves as the key asset for participation in governance and other platform activities.
Spot trading is planned to open at 16:30 on July 29, though Upbit noted this could be delayed if liquidity is insufficient at launch. Users are reminded to double-check network details and comply with regulatory requirements like the Travel Rule.
