Two whale wallets quietly scooped up more than $44 million worth of ETH in a matter of days, and the timing is hard to ignore. The dormant address 0x4cee, silent for three months, suddenly deployed 20 million USDC to buy 10,501 ETH at an average of $1,905 per coin. A separate, brand-new wallet pulled 12,800 ETH worth $24.47 million off Binance and immediately staked the entire amount, locking it out of circulation.
At the time of writing, ETH sits at $1,936, with a 24-hour trading volume of $10.69 billion and a market cap of $233.75 billion. The coin is grinding toward a resistance band that analyst Crypto Patel describes as the market's real decision point: the $2,160 to $2,400 zone, where a high-timeframe bearish order block and a fair value gap overlap.
A clean weekly close above $2,400 would, in his reading, invalidate the current bearish structure and open the door toward a longer-term target of $10,000. That's a big if. If sellers hold the zone, ETH could slide back to test the $1,500 to $1,000 range, which analysts treat as a potential long-term accumulation base rather than a floor to bet on blindly.
The staking move by the new wallet is worth noting on its own. Removing 12,800 ETH from exchange supply tightens available liquidity at exactly the moment price is pressing against resistance. Whether that's enough to tip the balance above $2,400, the chart hasn't confirmed it yet.
