Data from Lookonchain reveals this transfer as the latest step in a sequence where the official Trump allocation wallet has moved a total of 48.25 million TRUMP tokens, worth about $172 million, in three batches since January 2026. Each batch usually routes tokens through Bitgo before they potentially hit exchanges, signaling possible sales ahead. Back in May, the wallet shifted 7 million tokens, roughly $17 million, also funneling through intermediate addresses to Bitgo. In previous tranches, about $31.45 million and $23.18 million were sent, establishing a long-running pattern of distribution since the token's January 2025 Solana launch.
Despite this steady activity, TRUMP’s market price currently hovers around $1.55, a sharp tumble of more than 96% from its early highs. This steep decline has left countless wallets with vast unrealized losses, yet sizable holdings remain concentrated. Entities connected to Donald Trump control about 80% of the total supply under a three-year vesting plan, a setup drawing scrutiny and concerns about potential conflicts of interest involving a sitting president’s family profiting from token sales. Industry observers note that such heavy concentration of tokens in few hands is highly unusual for meme coins, giving those few wallets outsized control over liquidity when moving tokens to exchanges.
