A crypto investor known as 0x194 turned a $44,300 stake into roughly $811,000 by investing early in Pons (PONS), a rapidly growing meme coin on the Robinhood Chain.
The trader bought in when PONS had a market capitalization of just $3.7 million, securing over 1% of the total token supply, according to data from Arkham Intelligence.
Since then, PONS has become the top meme coin launchpad on Robinhood Chain, reaching a peak market cap of $57 million before settling near $51 million by July 27. The token price surged 21% in one day, trading at around $0.06.
The 18.3-fold return transformed the initial holding into an $811,000 position. 0x194’s portfolio on Robinhood projects totals over $858,000, including 12.65 million PONS tokens and smaller amounts of Yolo (YOLO), Juggernaut (JGN), and Hoodrat (HOODRAT).
What’s Driving PONS’s Rally
The growth stems largely from increasing adoption and hype around PONS’s pending V2 upgrade. This update will add an Ethereum bonding curve, integrate Uniswap V4, and enable trading pairs with stablecoins and tokenized equities, expanding the platform’s capabilities significantly.
the project aims to blend memecoins with real-world asset infrastructure, riding a trend where tokenized assets on Robinhood have surged nearly fivefold in under two weeks.
Since launch, about 20% of PONS’s total supply was burned inside the first eight days. The team plans to sustain this deflationary model through revenue-backed buybacks and ongoing burns.
