The $0.04 resistance that had capped STABLE for weeks cracked on July 22, the same day StableSwap, the native DEX on the Stable network, went live. Within 24 hours the token climbed 16% to a two-month high of $0.0419, pulling its market cap back above $1 billion in the process.

What actually moved the price

The trigger was a cascade of activity on-chain. StableSwap launched on July 22 and almost immediately drew a wave of new token deployments. The Fefer memecoin was first out of the gate and alone pushed the network to over 167,000 transactions in a single day, with its own market cap crossing $11 million. Then came the Feferz NFT collection, the first NFT minted on the network, followed by the FINNY memecoin. Each new project needed STABLE to pay for gas, which fed direct demand for the token. The Stable protocol responded by rolling out infrastructure upgrades mid-surge to keep execution speeds up. This kind of flywheel, where a DEX launch pulls in memecoins, memecoins pull in users, and users pull in more projects, is exactly what newer DEX launches have been trying to replicate. Stable got it in one shot.

Trading volume, which had been sliding for a week, ticked up 3%. That sounds modest, but the derivatives side told a louder story. Derivatives volume jumped 158% to $38.9 million. Open Interest rose 28% to $27.3 million. Futures netflow, the difference between money entering and leaving futures positions, surged 526% to $1.05 million, with inflows at $11.7 million against outflows of $10.6 million. Traders piled in fast, clearly worried about missing the move.

Where it goes from here

The RSI climbed to 66 after a bullish crossover, meaning buyers still have room before the token enters overbought territory. The Stochastic Momentum Index backed that up with its own bullish crossover, settling at 12. Both readings point to momentum that hasn't exhausted itself yet.

If network activity on Stable keeps growing, the next target is $0.043, after which $0.05 comes into view. That's a roughly 20% move from current levels. The downside scenario is simpler: if the memecoin frenzy cools and speculative inflows dry up, $0.035 is the likely landing zone, a drop of around 16% from where STABLE sits now.
