Robinhood has surged ahead of other tokenized stock platforms by holder count, reaching 328,000 holders within a month of launching its blockchain on July 1. This milestone gave the platform a 44% share of the tokenized equity holder market, which expanded 92% to 752,000 holders by late July, according to DWF Labs.

Despite its success in attracting retail investors, Robinhood’s tokenized stock value lags far behind competitors. The platform’s market capitalization sits at $44 million, dwarfed by Ondo’s $857 million and xStocks’ $487 million. The difference becomes even clearer when comparing average value per holder: Robinhood averages just $134, while Securitize has $4.9 million across only 50 holders. This stark contrast reflects the varying target audiences, with Robinhood focused on retail traders and platforms like Securitize and Figure catering to institutional investors.

Meme Coins Outpace Equities on Robinhood Chain

Interestingly, while tokenized stocks drive holder numbers, meme coins dominate the Robinhood Chain by value. Pons (PONS) leads with a market cap of $44.68 million and $11.4 million in daily trading volume, surpassing the previous leader, Cash Cat (CASHCAT) at nearly $40 million. At one point in July, CASHCAT’s market cap hit over $200 million, making it the chain’s largest asset. The top ten tokens, mostly meme coins, hold around $123 million combined, nearly tripling the total value of tokenized stocks on the platform.

This divergence highlights Robinhood’s role as a gateway for retail investors seeking exposure not just to equities but also to popular meme tokens, blending traditional finance with crypto culture in a single ecosystem.
