Robinhood's UK branch is now officially registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, joining over 50 crypto firms cleared to operate under current rules. This green light means the platform meets the FCA’s anti-money laundering standards and can introduce crypto services in the UK around July 1.

The timing is strategic. The UK plans to roll out a new crypto licensing regime next year, with applications opening later in 2026 and regulations taking effect in October 2027. Robinhood's early registration puts it ahead of the curve as the market braces for tighter oversight.
