Robinhood Chain has surged ahead to claim the top spot in tokenized-stock holders, reaching 329,200 users just weeks after its mainnet went live on July 1. This figure surpasses long-time leaders Solana and BNB Chain, which hold 281,400 and 214,600 tokenized-stock holders respectively, according to data from Token Terminal.
The impressive growth comes from Robinhood's extensive brokerage network of roughly 28 million customers. Unlike other blockchain networks that need to attract crypto users to purchase tokenized stocks, Robinhood leverages its existing user base, allowing stockholders to hold tokenized assets on-chain simply by clicking a button within the familiar app environment. This eliminates the usual barriers such as wallets, bridges, or gas fees that can intimidate new users.
Distribution Drives Growth Over Technology
The rise of Robinhood Chain highlights how user distribution can outpace underlying network infrastructure improvements. While Solana and BNB Chain steadily grew their tokenized-stock holder base over the past year, Robinhood’s entry caused a sharp uptick in July, quickly capturing about a third of the total market.
Since the start of July, the total number of tokenized-stock holders across networks has jumped by approximately 68.5%, from 554,900 to 934,800. Robinhood’s share now stands at around 35%, holding assets worth an estimated $44 million.
