Jack McDonald, Ripple’s Senior VP of Stablecoins, called July a whirlwind month for RLUSD. The dollar-backed stablecoin gained significant traction through new product launches and partnerships that are reshaping its presence in enterprise finance and blockchain payments. Ripple Mint, a freshly introduced platform, lets institutions mint, redeem, and manage RLUSD via a unified interface, streamlining stablecoin operations for banks and fintechs alike.
Ripple didn’t stop there. By investing in Notabene and planning to integrate RLUSD into its B2B payments network which handles over $2 trillion annually the company is pushing RLUSD as a compliant, blockchain-powered option for cross-border settlements. This move targets financial institutions looking for scalable and regulatory-friendly payment solutions.
RLUSD’s reach expanded further with Nuvion’s integration, enabling businesses to bridge traditional banking systems and blockchain rails smoothly, improving liquidity and treasury efficiency. The stablecoin also gained listings on major exchanges like Mobee, Korbit, Upbit Global, and Bithumb, boosting accessibility particularly in South Korea’s bustling crypto market. This wider availability is expected to drive both liquidity and user adoption.
also Ripple entered the AI payments space by releasing an AI Starter Kit that supports payments with XRP and RLUSD for services like APIs and cloud computing. This positions RLUSD as a pioneer in machine-to-machine transactions amid the growing AI economy. Ripple’s strategic moves shows RLUSD’s transformation from a simple stablecoin to a versatile tool across finance and emerging technologies.
