Imagine a bank that can create its own digital dollars instantly, with full control and compliance checks. That’s the idea behind Ripple’s new platform, Ripple Mint, which just launched to give institutions a smoother way to mint and manage RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-backed stablecoin.

Released on July 23, 2026, Ripple Mint serves as a unified tool for enterprises to handle RLUSD through both a user-friendly interface and an advanced API. This means banks and large financial institutions can mint, redeem, and oversee the stablecoin directly or integrate those functions into their existing systems.

Access to Ripple Mint isn’t for everyone. Ripple limits it to institutions that meet strict bank-level Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards. Before any RLUSD can be minted, the institutions must deposit USD fiat currency and pass compliance checks, ensuring the stablecoin is always backed one-to-one by high-quality liquid assets like cash or equivalents.

RLUSD itself is available across multiple blockchain networks including the XRP Ledger, Ethereum, Base, Ink, Optimism, Unichain, and XRPL EVM sidechain. This multi-chain availability offers institutions flexibility depending on their infrastructure and preferences.

The platform offers two ways to interact: a dashboard for manual control and an API for automation. The dashboard lets operators oversee minting, redemption, and monitoring in real time. Meanwhile, the API supports programmatic access with webhook notifications, enabling companies to embed RLUSD management into their treasury, payment, or compliance workflows smoothly.

Ripple Mint’s design reflects a shift towards making stablecoin operations more accessible to regulated financial players, opening doors to faster and more compliant digital dollar issuance.
