Pi Network has completed distributing its SLICE testnet tokens, marking a key step in enhancing its Launchpad ecosystem. Announced on Pi’s official X account, this move invites "Pioneers" the network’s users to explore new functionalities designed to prepare them for upcoming token launches.
The SLICE project builds on the initial Launchpad test that took off on March 14, 2026, known as PiDay. Close to 480,000 Pioneers participated in that first phase, providing valuable feedback. This input allowed Pi Network’s team to refine the Launchpad experience.
The latest SLICE token distribution followed a testing period that began on June 12 and ended on June 28, or Pi2Day. Though details were scarce immediately after the testnet phase concluded, the network has now confirmed the process is complete. Users can verify their SLICE token allocations directly through the Launchpad feature within the Pi Browser.
The upgraded Launchpad offers users enhanced tools letting them track token distribution and pricing at launch. also there’s a new SLICE liquidity pool paired with a price tracking feature to monitor SLICE’s value against test-Pi, another token on the Pi Network testnet.
Meanwhile, the native PI coin of the network has experienced sharp price swings. Recently, it dropped below the $0.10 support level, reaching a record low near $0.07. A brief rally pushed it back above $0.10 before selling pressure returned, driving it down again by over 10% to around $0.082.
Concerns have surfaced on social media where some investors report irregularities with their Pi Wallets, including token losses and failed transactions linked to unknown wallet addresses. Pi Network has yet to respond publicly to these issues.
Despite challenges, Pi Network continues developing its testnet environment, using the SLICE distribution as a foundation to improve the Launchpad’s capabilities and prepare for future growth.
