Mubadala Capital has launched a tokenized version of its Alternative Solutions Fund on the Solana, Base, and Sui blockchains, marking a significant step in bridging traditional finance and decentralized platforms. This move brings Mubadala's private markets investment strategy onto the blockchain, opening up new opportunities for investors in both the traditional and digital asset spaces.

Expanding Private Markets Access via Blockchain

The Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund's investment arm, which manages approximately $430 billion in assets, partnered with KAIO to tokenize the fund. By doing so, Mubadala aims to enhance liquidity and transparency while attracting a wider investor base. The Solana network shared the news on X, highlighting the integration of Mubadala’s fund across multiple blockchain ecosystems, including Base and Sui, known for their scalability and developer-friendly environments.

This tokenization effort has already secured commitments totaling $75 million from a mix of traditional institutional investors and participants in the crypto space. It reflects a growing trend of asset managers leveraging blockchain technology to modernize fund distribution and management, similar to moves seen in other sectors where blockchain solutions are enhancing institutional capabilities.
