Sui plans to unlock 13.72 million SUI tokens on August 1, adding nearly $10 million to the circulating supply. This amount represents about 0.34% of its currently released 4.06 billion tokens. The distribution will be divided among early contributors, community reserves, and Mysten Labs Treasury, highlighting the project’s ongoing monthly unlock pattern typical at the start of each month.
EigenCloud will also release 36.82 million EIGEN tokens on August 1, valued at $7.63 million. This batch constitutes 5.79% of its total released supply of 635.67 million tokens. Investors are set to receive the largest share, with early contributors getting a significant portion as well. EigenCloud supports Web3 with a verifiable cloud platform aiming to simplify trustless application development.
Kamino Finance, operating on Solana’s blockchain, will unlock 229.17 million KMNO tokens on July 30, worth around $4.14 million. This unlock accounts for nearly 3% of its released supply of 7.71 billion tokens. Most of these tokens will go to key stakeholders and advisors, with a sizeable portion allocated to core contributors. The protocol focuses on DeFi services like lending and liquidity provision.
Other notable token unlocks scheduled this week include Falcon Finance, Plasma, and Sign, which may also contribute to short-term market fluctuations. Investors should watch these releases closely, as token unlocks often increase market supply and can lead to price volatility in the days following distribution.
The crypto market reacted with subdued trading volumes amid these unlocked supplies, with price movements remaining largely within recent ranges.
