"The chart doesn't lie," one Solana trader put it bluntly after Thursday's numbers dropped. Mad Lads, the NFT collection built by the Backpack team, posted $673,970 in daily sales volume on August 29, landing it in second place on CryptoSlam's leaderboard for the day. That's a strong showing for a collection that only recently cemented its status as the second-best-selling Solana NFT project ever, with a cumulative $207 million in all-time sales putting it at rank 33 globally across all chains.

The top spot on Thursday went to FSIC, a fresh collection on the Bitcoin network that pulled in $887,396, making it the first time all week that either CryptoPunks or DMarket failed to claim the daily lead. CryptoPunks slipped to third with $643,866, a noticeable step down from its usual dominance. Solana Monkey Business, the chain's all-time sales king, took fourth at $543,019, while Immutable's Guild of Guardians Heroes rounded out the top five with $485,837.

Ethereum held its ground as the top-performing blockchain on the day, recording $4.48 million in total NFT sales across all collections. That figure keeps it well ahead of Solana and Bitcoin in single-day volume terms, even as Solana projects like Mad Lads continue chipping away at Ethereum's historical dominance in the NFT space. Two collections in the top four coming from Solana is not something the market saw often just a year ago.

Mad Lads' consistent presence near the top of daily charts signals that Backpack's bet on building a collector community around its wallet product is paying off in real transaction volume. Whether FSIC's debut surge holds or fades over the coming days will be the next thing to watch.
