Hyperscale Data has sold 100 Bitcoin and secured a credit line backed by its remaining Bitcoin holdings to fund the development of a new AI data center in Michigan. According to the company's statement, these two financial moves are part of a broader strategy shift to accelerate infrastructure growth rather than a reaction to Bitcoin's market price.
Hyperscale Data emphasized that selling 100 BTC converted part of its treasury into cash, while the credit facility allows it to borrow against the Bitcoin it still holds. This approach offers liquidity without fully exiting its Bitcoin position. The firm had previously boosted its Bitcoin treasury past 1,000 BTC, marking a significant accumulation phase before this recent adjustment.
By tapping into its crypto assets for capital, Hyperscale Data aims to fast-track its AI data center construction in Michigan, a project details of which have not been independently verified. The shift reflects a practical use of digital assets to support operational expansion instead of speculative trading.
