Hedera's HBAR token bounced off what a mainstream crypto analyst is calling a short-term bottom, driven by a cluster of technical signals that rarely appear together: a triple bullish divergence on the chart, oversold readings, and negative perpetual-futures funding rates. The analyst, Cilinix, flagged all three as reasons to expect at least a temporary relief rally, with $0.075 as the immediate upside target.

That $0.075 level is not arbitrary. It sits at a previous monthly value-area low and carries psychological weight, two factors that tend to attract short-covering activity. Negative funding rates matter here because they signal crowded short positioning. When prices stabilize or tick higher in that environment, shorts unwind fast, and the move can look sharper than the underlying sentiment warrants.

The bear case has not gone away

Cilinix was careful to separate the near-term chart setup from his broader view of Hedera's fundamentals. He put the project's market cap at roughly $3.1 billion and argued that figure looks stretched relative to the actual monetary value the network generates. A rebound off a local low and weak project-level valuation can coexist, and for HBAR traders that distinction matters more than it might sound.

The longer-term scenario Cilinix outlined points toward the $0.058-to-$0.052 support range if the bear market continues. He also warned that the path to $0.075 is unlikely to be clean: gap fills on the chart could pull price back before any sustained move higher. Bitcoin crossing $65,000 earlier in the week improved the overall backdrop and lifted crypto sentiment broadly, but Cilinix still expects further downside across the market over a longer horizon. A stronger macro tailwind would be needed to change that picture.
