A former collaborator has revealed the true identity of notorious crypto rugpuller Bastille as William Edmund Bateman, alongside serious allegations including sexual abuse and financial exploitation. The whistleblower, using the handle Slippage, shared a detailed account describing how they met Bastille in July 2024 and began launching tokens together.
Slippage claims Bastille took around 85% of profits from their joint projects, despite Slippage working non-stop for 40 hours without proper compensation. At times, Bastille reportedly refused to pay them at all. Beyond financial misconduct, Slippage accused him of manipulative and aggressive behavior, including outbursts during gambling losses and ignoring personal boundaries.
The accusations extend to claims of coerced sexual acts and disregard for consent, with Slippage recounting episodes of being left vulnerable and harassed, even in public settings like casinos. These revelations shed light on the dark side of certain crypto insiders whose schemes often go beyond just financial harm.
