July 2026 marked a rare upswing for Ethereum, as the cryptocurrency surged about 20 percent, climbing from 1,500 dollars to nearly 1,980 at its peak before settling around 1,900.

This rebound ended six consecutive months of losses, putting ETH on its best monthly run since mid-2025. November alone dropped 22.38 percent, while June tumbled by 21.7 percent.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin rose 9 percent over July, barely half of Ethereum’s gains, highlighting ETH’s relative strength in this recovery phase. Yet historical patterns cast a shadow six of the past ten Augusts have seen Ethereum pull back, signaling that the momentum might face resistance this month.

Investors who watched ETH struggle through months marked by volatility and selling pressure will be eyeing August closely. Whether this rally can extend or if sellers regain control remains an open question, especially amid a summer that has so far been calm for crypto markets overall.
