The Ethereum Foundation expanded its leadership team by bringing Pascal Caversaccio, known as pcaversaccio in crypto circles, onto its board. He joins established figures like Vitalik Buterin and Aya Miyaguchi as the foundation steers Ethereum’s governance into new territory.
Pascal Caversaccio has built a reputation as a leading security researcher within the Ethereum ecosystem. He co-founded SEAL 911, a rapid-response organization that handles urgent security incidents and vulnerabilities in the blockchain space. His deep knowledge of privacy-focused technologies and protocol management made him a natural choice for the foundation’s four-member board.
Security and Governance in Focus
His addition comes at a time when Ethereum’s governance is evolving, with new initiatives like ETH Ventures and Ethereum Institutional gaining momentum. The foundation’s voluntary board, which includes Ethereum co-founder Buterin, president Aya Miyaguchi, and Swiss legal advisor Patrick Storchenegger, will benefit from Pascal’s expertise on security and protocol stewardship. He will serve an initial one-year term, lending his experience to guide Ethereum through complex technical and governance challenges.
According to the Ethereum Foundation’s official announcement, Pascal has also contributed to the Silviculture Society, a group dedicated to fostering Ethereum’s community and ecosystem growth. His appointment signals a stronger emphasis on safeguarding the network amid its expansion and institutional adoption.
