EMCD, one of the globe’s largest Bitcoin mining pools and a notable crypto-fintech platform, has launched a Miner Support Program offering up to $30 million in combined financing, fee reductions, and partner benefits. This initiative aims to assist miners struggling with the sharpest dip in profitability the industry has seen in recent memory.
The mining sector faces significant pressure as Bitcoin’s hashprice, which measures mining revenue per terahash per day, plunged to around $28/PH/day, marking a 50% drop from October 2025 levels and hitting an all-time post-halving low according to CoinShares’ Q1 2026 figures. This squeeze forced approximately 252 exahashes per second (EH/s) offline, as reported by Hashrate Index via CoinCentral in April 2026. Several consecutive negative difficulty adjustments something not seen since mid-2022 reflect widespread operator capitulation, particularly from those relying on older, less efficient hardware.
EMCD’s mining pool, active since 2017 and responsible for processing more than 4,550 BTC mined by users last year, views these tough conditions as a test but also a structural opening for committed miners to adapt and survive. The company’s new program addresses the industry’s tightened margins by providing a suite of practical support: fee restructuring, partnerships for discounted hardware and infrastructure, and access to liquidity tailored specifically for mining cash flows.
Miners under cash flow strain can tap into EMCD’s secured liquidity facilities at a 3.9% APR, designed to help maintain operations without forcing asset sales in a bear market. This mining-focused financing beats generic crypto credit lines by syncing with miners’ cash flow cycles and combining cost reductions from fee reliefs and hardware discounts to lower the real cost of capital.
As part of the program, miners can also apply for 60 days of zero pool commission, easing overhead while profitability remains weak. Operators using older or less efficient rigs gain access to discounted Vnish firmware the leading third-party ASIC optimization software. also those aiming to grow or relocate mining capacity can use exclusive deals on equipment and data center services via EMCD’s partner network.
EMCD is actively inviting hardware manufacturers, hosting service providers, and data centers to join the program, offering special conditions to miners who apply. More information and applications are available on their website.
Michael Jerlis, EMCD’s founder and CEO, emphasized the importance of adapting through cycles, stating that survival hinges on using downturns strategically rather than waiting them out.
EMCD’s previous $30M aid package underlined their commitment, while others in the crypto space, like Michael Saylor’s Strategy, continue shoring up reserves amid market shifts.
Bitcoin’s price showed little reaction immediately after EMCD’s announcement.
