Martin Masser just walked away from TON. Now he's tasked with solving a problem that's been eating at crypto for years: users still jump between five different apps just to move money around. ChangeNOW hired him as Director of Strategic Partnerships because the platform is betting that the answer isn't better individual tools. It's burying the complexity.

Masser spent his career in traditional finance, then Web2, then deep into the TON ecosystem. He knows how growth works across all three worlds. His job now is to connect blockchain networks, wallets, fintech companies, payment providers, and infrastructure partners into something that actually feels smooth. The pieces already exist. Nobody's just glued them together right.

The super app play: simplicity hides the machinery

ChangeNOW isn't trying to reinvent individual features. Buy, store, swap, trade, send, receive, grow your assets. Every crypto service offers at least one of those. The friction point is switching. A user buys Bitcoin on one platform, moves it to a wallet, swaps it for Ethereum elsewhere, then discovers they're on the wrong network. Each step requires understanding different interfaces, different networks, different fee structures.

The super app strategy flips this. One product. Users get the outcome. The complexity lives in the backend, handled by partnerships that actually matter. Not partnership announcements for press releases, but relationships that cut steps out of the user experience. Pauline Shangett, ChangeNOW's Chief Strategy Officer, put it plainly: Masser "knows what the technology can do, what the business needs and how to make the market pay attention."

Partnerships that move the needle

Masser was explicit about what he's not doing. He's not collecting logos. Every relationship has to make the product stronger, simpler, or more useful. If you're building wallets, networks, payments, stablecoins, fintech infrastructure, or consumer crypto, he's listening. The goal is to expand what ChangeNOW can do without forcing users to understand the machinery underneath.

The crypto industry has spent years optimizing individual pieces. The gap isn't in technology anymore. It's in the user experience of putting those pieces together. Masser's appointment signals that ChangeNOW sees that gap as the next competitive battleground. Hire someone who understands both the tech and the business side. Give him the mandate to build relationships that matter. Let the product do the talking.
