Martin Masser, a former TON executive, just joined ChangeNOW as Director of Strategic Partnerships. The move signals the platform's shift from offering isolated services to building a unified super app where users can buy, swap, trade, and hold crypto without jumping between five different interfaces.
Right now, managing digital assets feels like operating a patchwork. You need a wallet here, a DEX there, a stablecoin provider somewhere else. The infrastructure exists. Nobody has glued it together for regular people. ChangeNOW is betting that whoever solves this friction wins the next wave of adoption.
What Masser Brings
Masser's background spans traditional banking, Web2 platforms, and Web3 networks. His job isn't to rack up partnership press releases. He's tasked with identifying relationships that actually simplify the product. That means connecting with blockchain networks, wallet makers, fintech companies, and payment infrastructure providers who can eliminate unnecessary steps from the user journey.
Pauline Shangett, ChangeNOW's Chief Strategy Officer, emphasized the hire fills a specific gap. "He knows what the technology can do, what the business needs and how to make the market pay attention," she said. For a platform trying to consolidate fragmented services, that combination of technical understanding and business acumen matters.
The Super App Play
ChangeNOW's strategy mirrors what fintech companies did with traditional banking. Instead of forcing users to understand different networks, switching costs, and fee structures, everything happens inside one environment. For businesses, it opens opportunities to build integrated products on top of the infrastructure. For consumers, it just means fewer clicks.
Masser is already signaling openness. He's looking for teams building wallets, networks, payments, stablecoins, and consumer crypto products. The partnerships won't succeed on hype alone. They'll only stick if they make the core experience materially faster or cheaper.
