Cardano’s ADA token is barely holding on, trading at $0.1566, down 1.57% in the last day and still about 95% below its peak of $3.09 from September 2021. The founder, Charles Hoskinson, acknowledged that the current approach isn’t working and hinted at changes ahead.

Hoskinson’s admission comes amid ongoing challenges for ADA, which has yet to regain significant momentum despite the broader crypto market’s fluctuations. The token’s steep decline from its all-time high reflects a tough environment for Cardano’s ecosystem and its ambitions.

Strategic Reevaluation Underway

According to Hoskinson, the Cardano team is actively reassessing their roadmap and priorities to reinvigorate the project. While details remain sparse, he emphasized the need for adaptation to better align with the evolving blockchain landscape. This follows a period where ADA has struggled to maintain user engagement and developer activity compared to rivals.

This comes shortly after similar pressure on XRP and Cardano prices as regulatory and market uncertainties weigh on sentiment. Cardano’s future now hinges on how effectively the team can pivot and deliver tangible progress.
