Blockmaze has been awarded a Guinness World Records title for "Most Financial Regulatory Licences at a Blockchain Ecosystem Launch," with the certificate handed over during a formal ceremony in the UAE. The event drew UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Guinness officials, representatives of Finvasia Group and the Blockmaze Foundation, and a number of industry figures.

Al Zeyoudi said the recognition reinforces the UAE's standing as a centre for blockchain, tokenisation and Web3 development. Guinness World Records adjudicator Mbali Nkosi confirmed the title after reviewing submitted evidence, concluding that Blockmaze held the highest number of qualifying regulator-issued financial licences among blockchain ecosystems at the point of launch.

What the Record Actually Covers

The Guinness title is tied specifically to the volume of financial regulatory licences and registrations across the Blockmaze ecosystem at launch, not to any single jurisdiction. The platform combines licensing, compliance, custody, payments and market infrastructure, all aimed at supporting the issuance, management and distribution of tokenised assets in regulated markets.

Blockmaze's product range covers tokenised stocks, contracts for difference, gold and real estate. Co-Founder and CEO Tajinder Virk was direct about the company's position: tokenisation on its own is not enough. The real shift, he argued, happens when a token represents a legally recognised real-world asset that can move across regulated markets. That, he said, demands regulatory, financial and compliance infrastructure in place before a single token trades. "Every token should represent something real," Virk added, pointing to verifiable ownership and governance as baseline requirements.

Co-Founder and COO Puneet Mangla framed the record as proof of work rather than a marketing milestone, saying that future tokenised finance will rest on trust, institutional-grade infrastructure and global compliance. The company announced the award publicly on July 13, 2026, confirming it had built the framework from scratch ahead of launch.

Token markets saw a brief uptick in volume following the announcement, with RWA-focused projects outperforming the broader crypto index for the session.
