Blockchain.com has embedded Polymarket's prediction market directly into its brokerage app, letting its 43 million verified users trade event contracts without touching a separate platform or moving funds anywhere.

The timing is deliberate. Polymarket has logged more than $4.2 billion in trading volume across global football matches during the current tournament cycle, with total football-related volume topping $5 billion over the past year. That kind of surge made the World Cup window hard to ignore for any platform chasing new trading activity.

One account, two markets

Until now, anyone wanting to trade both crypto and prediction contracts had to juggle separate accounts and shift money between them. The integration collapses that friction: eligible Blockchain.com users can open an event position in the same interface where they already buy and sell digital assets. No new account, no fund transfer.

As Polymarket founder and CEO Shayne Coplan put it, users can now access "the world's largest information market inside the platform where they already manage digital assets."

Peter Smith, CEO of Blockchain.com, framed it as a distribution play timed to peak global interest, noting the partnership lets the company "instantly expand our feature set into the fastest-growing sector of crypto."

Blockchain.com is not alone in this move. Coinbase and Robinhood have both pushed prediction market features into their core trading environments rather than spinning them off as standalone products. The pattern is consistent: the account that already holds client assets is becoming the default launch pad for anything new. Prediction markets are just the latest product to follow that logic.
