Blackrock has firmly reasserted its dominance in the U.S. spot bitcoin ETF market, fueling a strong inflow of fresh capital that pushed total Bitcoin ETF investments up by $233.13 million on Thursday. The flagship IBIT fund captured the lion’s share, bringing in $183.38 million alone, which accounted for nearly 79% of the day's inflows.

The inflows extended a two-day recovery following a brief pause after four consecutive days of outflows. Seven Bitcoin funds attracted fresh money with no outflows reported, signaling renewed institutional appetite for digital assets. Bitwise’s BITB added $20.74 million, Fidelity’s FBTC pulled in $15.50 million, and Morgan Stanley’s MSBT gained $7.42 million. Smaller contributions came from Vaneck’s HODL and Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust with $2.29 million each, and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB with $1.50 million. The total trading volume surged to $1.73 billion, while combined net assets in Bitcoin ETFs closed at $78.76 billion.

While Blackrock’s IBIT has netted approximately $350 million in inflows this July, it still trails its heavy outflows from May and June, which reached $1.41 billion and $3.55 billion respectively. This recent inflow suggests a cautious return of confidence after a turbulent quarter.

Altcoin ETFs See Modest Gains

Ether ETFs joined the positive momentum, chalking up $13.29 million in net inflows. Blackrock’s ETHA led this group with $16.24 million, supported by Bitwise’s ETHW and Morgan Stanley’s MSSE funds. XRP ETFs performed robustly, pushing assets beyond $1 billion amid the week’s strongest inflow for the token. Solana funds also recorded smaller gains. However, the HYPE ETF paused its five-day outflow streak, stabilizing at $260.44 million as investors await potential demand shifts in August.

This uptick in Bitcoin and altcoin ETFs follows a period of volatility, offering fresh signs of institutional investors recalibrating their exposure to the crypto market. Meanwhile, Bitcoin price traded slightly lower, reflecting cautious market sentiment despite the ETF inflows.
