Bitdeer Technologies Group (NASDAQ: BTDR) produced 990 bitcoin in June, a 7.5% gain over May's 921 coins and a 388% jump from the 203 bitcoin mined in the same month a year ago. The Singapore-based company disclosed the figures in an operations update filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.

Self-mining hashrate reached 73 exahashes per second by the end of June, up from 70.2 EH/s in May and more than four times the 16.5 EH/s recorded twelve months earlier. Bitdeer added 12,000 machines during the month, bringing the total deployed for self-mining to 243,000 units. Another 56,000 machines ran at third-party data centers under co-mining arrangements, compared with 39,000 in May, pushing the associated computing power up 59% month over month to 15.9 EH/s.

The expansion is tied directly to Bitdeer's strategy of building its own SEALMINER hardware rather than buying from outside suppliers. This month the company broke ground on a $36 million manufacturing plant in Sparks, Nevada, targeting completion by year-end and a production capacity of 10,000 machines per month.

Despite the higher output, Bitdeer's bitcoin holdings fell to 150 coins at month-end from 171 in May, suggesting the company sold or transferred more than it mined. Bitdeer does not break out monthly sales figures in its production reports.

AI Cloud Gaining Ground

The AI Cloud segment's annualized revenue run rate climbed to roughly $76 million from $69 million in May. GPU utilization ticked up to 95% from 90%, and the number of GPUs under external subscription grew to 3,517 from 3,305. Bitdeer calculates the run-rate figure by annualizing daily revenue from contractually active GPU orders on the last day of the month, so it is not booked annual revenue or a forward forecast.

The company completed deliveries under a five-year GPU cloud contract after deploying two Nvidia GB300 NVL72 clusters. It did not name the customer or disclose the contract value. Separately, Bitdeer signed a 10-year lease for a data center in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, covering 21.7 megawatts of IT capacity. Handover is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, and the site is planned to house 128 Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems, adding to the 4,248 GPUs already deployed as of June 30.

BTDR shares moved on the news as traders weighed the production beat against the thinner bitcoin balance on hand.
