A single line on a 12-hour chart is currently doing a lot of heavy lifting for Bitcoin bulls. Analyst EliZ has flagged the $63,500 area as the most critical level to watch right now, with the full support zone running between $63,250 and $64,000. As long as buyers keep defending that band, the path toward $70,000 $73,000 stays open.

What the charts are saying

BTC has been consolidating after its recent bounce, and the setup is still considered constructive by most technical readers, provided that support holds. The $70,000 $73,000 region is not just a round-number target: it also coincides with a descending trendline that has capped rallies before, so a clean break there would carry extra weight.

The downside scenario is less comfortable. A confirmed close below $63,000 would undermine the bullish case and put $60,000 back on the table. From there, Bitcoin would likely slip into a prolonged, grinding consolidation, exactly the kind of price action that tends to exhaust retail interest and push sentiment negative.

The CLARITY Act wildcard

Analyst Junkie has built a more elaborate scenario around U.S. crypto legislation. His roadmap sketches an initial rally, followed by a drop toward $55,000 in August, a September rebound, and then a much deeper sell-off heading into 2027. Resistance clusters in his model sit at $75,000 $80,000 and $88,000 $93,000, with the $55,000 level acting as a downside liquidity magnet.

The problem with that script is the legislation itself. The CLARITY Act cleared the Senate Banking Committee 15 to 9 back in May, but it has not passed the full Senate and is nowhere near being signed into law. Updated bill language released on July 22 immediately drew fresh political opposition, a sign that the negotiations are still messy and far from resolved.

Mapping Bitcoin's price trajectory onto a legislative calendar that keeps shifting is inherently speculative. The final shape of any bill, combined with broader liquidity conditions and macro sentiment, would ultimately decide how the market responds. No chart pattern can pre-calculate the outcome of a Senate floor vote.

What traders are watching now

For most active traders the near-term focus is simpler: hold $63,000 or don't. A sustained bid in the current support zone gives the $73,000 target credibility. A clean breakdown shifts the conversation to $60,000 almost immediately, and $55,000 becomes relevant only if selling accelerates and legislative noise amplifies the fear. The next few weekly closes will say more than any analyst scenario.
