Binance has broadened its risk alert framework by tagging three altcoins as higher risk on its platform. This move spotlights Across Protocol (ACX), Lisk (LSK), and Stacks (STX) as tokens that traders should watch closely due to their increased volatility and uncertainty.
New Additions to Binance’s Monitoring Tag
From July 24, 2026, ACX, LSK, and STX have joined Binance's Monitoring Tag system, which identifies assets perceived to carry elevated risk compared to typical listings. The exchange actively reviews these tokens and reserves the right to delist them if they consistently fall short of Binance’s criteria.
However, Binance reassures that the tag does not automatically mean removal from the platform. Instead, it signals ongoing scrutiny and risk awareness, with the possibility of the tag being lifted after further evaluation.
Criteria Behind the Risk Assessment
Binance’s evaluation covers multiple dimensions: commitment from the development teams, the quality and volume of code development, trading liquidity, the security and robustness of the networks, and the stability of related smart contracts. They also consider how transparent and responsive project teams are during audits.
Factors like sudden token supply changes, tokenomics updates, and any questionable or unethical behavior are also on Binance’s radar. The exchange weighs how well the projects contribute to the broader crypto ecosystem, highlighting a full review beyond just price movements.
Investor Protections and Procedures
Users interested in trading tokens with the Monitoring Tag must complete a risk awareness test periodically and acknowledge the related risk disclosures. This approach aims to equip traders with better information when dealing with more volatile assets.
This enhanced system reflects Binance’s growing effort to balance platform safety and transparency. Meanwhile, the space remains dynamic as Binance keeps adjusting its list based on ongoing audits and market behavior.
Bitcoin ETFs have recently attracted nearly $1 billion, showing how institutional attention contrasts with caution around riskier altcoins. Traders must navigate these nuances carefully.
