Circle just reported Q2 2026 numbers, and Bernstein's analysts are essentially saying the same thing to bearish investors: you're reading the wrong data. The Wall Street research firm maintains its Outperform rating on CRCL, spotting revenue streams baked into partnerships, regulatory wins, and the Arc launch that consensus estimates haven't caught up to yet.
The velocity story hiding in plain sight
Circle pulled in $701 million in total revenue and reserve income for Q2, up 7% year-over-year. USDC circulation hit $73.3 billion, a 19% increase. But the number that matters sits deeper in the data: onchain volume jumped to $14.8 trillion, up 151% from last year. That's the real signal. The gap between circulation growth at 19% and transaction volume growth at 151% isn't a rounding error. It means velocity is accelerating dramatically. Each dollar of USDC in circulation is turning over far more frequently than it did twelve months ago. That shift changes how you value the network.
Arc transforms the revenue picture
Circle raised its full-year other-revenue guidance to between $310 million and $330 million. Roughly $180 million of that comes from the Arc token presale, which has already pulled in somewhere between $222 million and $242 million at a $3 billion valuation. That's capital hitting the balance sheet with no dependency on Fed funds rates or traditional banking cycles. Arc's public mainnet launches September 16, 2026, with a founding validator set that reads like a financial establishment roster: BlackRock, DTCC, ICE, Mastercard, Visa. Those aren't random partners. They signal institutional adoption paths that haven't existed before.
The charter advantage
Circle secured a national trust bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. That's a different league than most stablecoin competitors. Direct access to US banking system rails without intermediaries. No reliance on banking partners who can cut you off. Bernstein's price targets on CRCL range from $140 to $230, which reflects confidence that the regulatory moat is widening while competitors are still fighting for basic approval.
The 151% surge in transaction volume is the most underappreciated signal here. It's not hype. It's velocity. And velocity compounds.
