A New Zealand-registered entity called The Judge Archive-Lab Limited has launched what it describes as an international technical initiative to create a permanent digital archive of Yixing Zisha teapots, framing the project around a "500-year cultural lineage" and real-world asset tokenization.
At the center of the effort sits a piece called "Genesis No. 001," attributed to ceramic artist Luo Xiaoping. The archive plan calls for 100-megapixel Hasselblad scans of the work, with the resulting files codified as RWA records on a decentralized ledger.
Luo Xiaoping holds elected membership in the International Academy of Ceramics, based in Geneva. His sculptures are listed in the permanent collections of the White House and the Musée Ariana in Switzerland.
The provenance case leans heavily on a 1999 Auckland exhibition. Critic Jonathan Mane-Wheoki, who holds the CNZM honor, wrote at the time that Luo's work represents "a profound spiritual departure from the purely artisanal constraints of traditional ceramics" and that the artist had "dismantled the functional illusion of the utilitarian object."
US publication Ceramics Monthly covered Luo's output between 1999 and 2001, describing it as "beyond aesthetics" and "a masterclass in gravitational defiance and material extremes." The APT3 Contemporary Art Review, published across Australia and New Zealand, ran a separate feature framing the work as a repositioning of 500 years of Chinese ceramic tradition.
The archive project also references The Clay Studio Collection, accessible via the eHive digital archive under reference PC311, as one of five institutional anchors for the provenance claim.
On the crypto side, the framework operates under a code labeled TDP. The lab describes the associated tokens as non-fractional, non-custodial Utility Protocol Keys used for identity logging, cryptographic verification, and programmatic synchronization of media display.
